Chapel on Thursday at 9:45 AM

Just a reminder that we will be hosting the chapel this Thursday.  You are welcome to attend. Also, since this weel we will be focusing on preperation for the chapel we will continue the spelling and BMV next week.

Also,  the Social posters are due this Friday and reading the book of Exodus is due on Monday along with the students October monthly reading goals.

Social Studies Poster Due October 28th

We are studying in Grade 6 Canada and It's Atlantic Neighbors.  The students are to choose a country, state or province that borders the Atlantic Ocean.  They are to make a poster and in the poster include the following:

Map and flag
Major cities and capital city
Religion(s)
Languages
Major resources
Industries
Tourist attraction(s)
Symbols
History
Interesting facts about the province, state, or country
Bibliography (sources where the information was attained)

Include a 250-500 written report.  There should also be pictures.

The poster is due October 28th.

CE Quiz

Tuesday morning we will be having a quiz on the descendents and spouses of Abraham to Joseph's children.

Grade 6 Chapel

No Spelling or BMV this Week and Health Test

It is a short week this week, so there won't be a spelling test or BMV this week.  Also,  just a reminder that we will have a health test on Thursday this week.

Bible Gateway

If students want to have the book of Exodus read to them,  there is an audio component in Bible Gateway that will read to the students.  The students are to read or have read to them the book of Exodus by October 31st.

I created a tab at the top of the page for the students to access the web page when they want to use Bible Gateway.

You might be interested that there is a ipod, iphone, ipad "App" for Accelerated Reader. 
You can search for the free download from itunes and put it on your device.
You will need to configure the "App" for our school.  Make sure the address;
